Since what I plan to do is – at least to my understanding – an “in-place upgrade” from 1809 to 1909 keeping the existing files and apps, do I understand correctly that EP is basically saying that the V1 ISO will not allow such upgrade?
“ the problem in getting the 1909 ISO from MS is that it’s the 1909 V1 version with build 18363.418 which has the “missing” feature update deferral bug (the days to defer feature updates will no longer appear when set to any value other than 0) and the inability to keep existing files & apps when doing an in-place upgrade or repair install of 1909 – these issues were fixed in 18363.446 & higher cumulative updates for 1909.“ The 1909 ISO I have downloaded back then is the “V1 version” with build 18363.418 and, while I don’t mind that after using this ISO for the upgrade I’ll have to download some patches, I have some concerns about actually using this V1 version ISO due to the following post by EP where he stated the following: Several months back, I squirrelled away a copy of the 1909 ISO as suggested by woody and I was in fact planning to use it to create a USB stick for upgrading. My machine is still running Win 10 (Home) version 1809 and since this version’s EOL is now approaching, I’m start to get things ready to upgrade to 1909.
